We pick up a few months after the explosive ending from Book one. The sisters are still split and Lucy is determined to remedy that. But as time passes she also realizes how things may not be as they seem and maybe she can’t trust who she thought she could.

We learn more about the plague, world order, magic and science behind the True Born, Splicer and Lester...and now a new class the Gilt. This is a fascinating dystopian world where what seems idealistic is fraught with problems and where no one really knows what is at stake.

I love the description behind the true borns and would love to see drawings or visuals of them. Storm sounds so grand and the others who work with him sound exotic and quite interesting. We meet new characters in this book and I look forward to seeing what backstory they have...especially the Senator and Ali. Great book and I can’t wait to read book three!

So good! Can't wait for the next book to come out! I hope the next book is just as good as the others.
I enjoyed everything about this book. I am hoping the series continues. I want to find out more about Lucy and Margot.
I liked this book better than the first, which is unusual for me. Usually the first book in a series is my favorite.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. I hope there is a sequel and I am thankful to not be left with a huge cliffhanging end. I am glad I took a chance on purchasing these books. They were well worth it.
Let me just say I really wanted to love this book as much as I loved the first one but I just couldn't. This book could have been condensed into 3 or 4 chapters. It over embellished and tried to drag out the main character trying to find her sister and then it abruptly ended with no detail at all. It reminded me of a student running out of time at an exam and quickly scribbling an end to their essay. Very let down by this book. Will not be purchasing the third one.
Middle books in a trilogy have a long standing reputation for being drawn out and boring. I was worried for a while that this book would live up to its "middle child" expectation, but once I got past the first 30% I couldn't quit reading because of Jared. I mean no one can resist the romance and fire between Lucy and Jared. Their love story and bickering kept me going until the whole story got juicy. Ended on an expected cliff hanger and I anxiously await the final installment in the trilogy.
(I'm pretty sure it's a trilogy, it'd be hilarious if I wrote this review and it's not)

Even with her new friend Ali, and her steadfast protector, Jared, can Lucy find Margot before things go seriously wrong?
